Thomas Birch
Thomas graduated in law in 1999 and was admitted to the Danish bar in 2002. In 2003 he was granted a right of audience before the High Courts of Denmark and in 2012 before the Supreme Court of Denmark. Thomas has significant specialist expertise in virtually every key area of insurance and the law of damages, expertise acquired through his law studies, basic lawyers’ training, continuous supplementary training and more than 25 years of working in and for the insurance industry. His legal training and career have also taken him to Switzerland, Germany, the USA and England. For more than 20 years, Thomas has litigated and arbitrated cases before the Danish courts and tribunals, representing businesses, insurers, public bodies and private individuals. Moreover, in 2015 Thomas completed the training programme hosted by the Association of Danish Law Firms, thereby becoming a certified arbitrator.

Anne Utke
Anne graduated in law in 2008 and was admitted to the bar in 2012. In 2017 she was granted a right of audience before the High Courts of Denmark. Anne has been working on law issues relating to insurance and damages since 2005, and through the years, she has acquired extensive knowledge of key law issues relating to insurance law and the law of damages – spanning from the drafting of conditions and clauses and claims handling to the practical and strategic aspects of litigation before the courts.

Louise Høgh Jørgensen
Louise graduated in law from the University of Copenhagen in 2008 and has 11 years of experience from the courts as assistant judge at the district courts and at the Maritime and Commercial Court in Copenhagen. Louise has special interest in and knowledge of commercial and finance law, and in addition to her court work, she also has experience from the financial services sector, having worked with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority and a financial institution.

Lars Schreiner Hansen
Lars graduated from law school in 2005 (University of Copenhagen); in the process studying two semesters at the universities in Prague and Åbo. He passed the bar exam in 2009 and was granted a right of audience before the High Courts of Denmark and the Supreme Court of Denmark in 2012 and 2017 respectively. Lars has continuously worked within the fields of torts, insurance and construction, primarily representing a number of the country’s leading insurance companies. Lars is an experienced litigator, chairing court and arbitration cases on a regular basis.

Tanja Gantzhorn
Tanja graduated in law from University of Copenhagen in 2016. Tanja has litigated before the Danish district courts since 2018, and before the Danish High Courts since 2021. Tanja is specialized in insurance and tort law. She assists insurers, businesses, and Danish public authorities, with advice and litigation.

Mette Haue Christensen
Mette is our legal secretary and as such supporting the office's lawyers managing primarily court cases but also claims handling as well as administrative tasks. Mette has great insight in solving versatile administrative tasks, from her long working experience in the financial sector.

Finance/trainee
Johanne Simonsen
Johanne is the head of finance. She has extensive experience from the real estate industry, where she worked as a real estate agent with focus on finance. Along on the side, Johanne studies law at University of Southern Denmark.
