Thomas Birch

Thomas graduated in law in 1999 and was admitted to the Danish bar in 2002. In 2003 he was granted a right of audience before the High Courts of Denmark and in 2012 before the Supreme Court of Denmark. Thomas has significant specialist expertise in virtually every key area of insurance and the law of damages, expertise acquired through his law studies, basic lawyers’ training, continuous supplementary training and more than 25 years of working in and for the insurance industry. His legal training and career have also taken him to Switzerland, Germany, the USA and England. For more than 15 years, Thomas has litigated and arbitrated cases before the Danish courts and tribunals, representing businesses, insurers, public bodies and private individuals. Moreover, in 2015 Thomas completed the training programme hosted by the Association of Danish Law Firms, thereby becoming a certified arbitrator.

Anne Utke

Anne graduated in law in 2008 and was admitted to the bar in 2012. In 2017 she was granted a right of audience before the High Courts of Denmark. Anne has been working on law issues relating to insurance and damages since 2005, and through the years, she has acquired extensive knowledge of key law issues relating to insurance law and the law of damages – spanning from the drafting of conditions and clauses and claims handling to the practical and strategic aspects of litigation before the courts.

Louise Høgh Jørgensen

Louise graduated in law from the University of Copenhagen in 2008 and has 11 years of experience from the courts as assistant judge at the district courts and at the Maritime and Commercial Court in Copenhagen. Louise has special interest in and knowledge of commercial and finance law, and in addition to her court work, she also has experience from the financial services sector, having worked with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority and a financial institution.

Rasmus Tommerup

Rasmus graduated in law from the University of Copenhagen in 2018 and has built up strong and wide experience, especially in commercial and property law, and Rasmus also has a keen interest in professional and product liability. Rasmus has gained experience both in conducting court cases and in assisting in large group actions within those areas.

Rasmus Estrup

Rasmus graduated in law from the University of Copenhagen in 2020. Rasmus has been working with the law of damages and insurance law since 2014, including professional liability, management liability and tort law, and he has experience in litigating and counseling within other aspects of business law.

Alexandra Malou Wiese

Alexandra graduated in law from the University of Copenhagen in 2020 . During and after her studies, Alexandra has built up wide experience at the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, a major insurance company and Labour Market Insurance (AES). Alexandra has a keen interest and extensive knowledge of insurance law and the law of damages − areas of the law in which she has continued to develop her expertise after having finished her studies.

Trainee

Katrine Bjørk Olesen

Katrine studies law at the Master’s Programme of the University of Copenhagen and has a special interest in insurance and tort law. Katrine has extensive experience from the insurance industry where she has worked in a pension fund as well as in an insurance company with a wide range of claims types.

Law graduate

Gunilla W. Josephsen

Gunilla has deep insight into transport and insurance law and the law of damages from her many years of working in the transport and insurance industry and the legal profession in Denmark and abroad. Working in and for the insurance industry has also given Gunilla extensive practical experience with claims handling, in particular, assessment of responsibility, review and survey of personal injury and property damage cases. Throughout her legal career, Gunilla has also acquired significant knowledge of case preparation and the considerations and measures required in a litigation process from start to finish.

Nourhan Hajjo

Nourhan is functioning as administrative support to the office’s lawyers. Nourhan is Bachelor of Public Administration with working experience from both the City Court and Eastern High Court. Thus, she has insight in all aspects of litigation and administration related to civil case law.
