Karen Margrethe Frederiksen

Karen Margrethe Frederiksen has worked extensively with insurance and compensation law since 2009 and has extensive experience from both the legal profession and the insurance sector. She advises on complex disputes within insurance law, personal injury, property damage and liability, and has handled a large number of cases before the District Courts and High Courts.

Karen has substantial litigation and management experience. Most recently, as Head of DK Legal Litigation at If Insurance, she had overall responsibility for the Danish litigation department. Previously, she worked as an attorney at Dreist Advokater and Codan, as well as a legal counsel, attorney and claims manager at Topdanmark.

Throughout her career, Karen has worked strategically with legal advice, dispute resolution, compliance, subrogation and cases before appeals boards. She also has particular expertise in veterinary liability claims, commercial disputes and advising clients in the agricultural sector, including the equine industry.

Karen is a qualified attorney with a right of audience before the High Courts and has extensive experience in both litigation and resolving disputes outside the courts.
